Graduates earn 112 degrees, certificates from Altierus Career College-Henderson


About 93.8 percent of the 112 degrees and certificates handed out by Altierus Career College-Henderson in 2017-18 were to students in health professions and related programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Henderson conferred 57 associate's degrees and 48 certificates in health professions and related programs.

But the single most popular program was for a associate's degree in nursing practice. Data shows the school gave out 57 associate's degrees in nursing practice, followed by 34 certificates in medical/clinical assistant and 14 certificates in medical insurance coding specialist/coder.

The college enrolled 272 students for 2017-18, all of whom were enrolled in undergraduate programs.
