Reno ranked 57th in state for resident earnings in 2017


Reno ranked 57th among cities in Nevada by annual earnings per resident, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau in August.

The median income of Reno residents was an inflation-adjusted $28,207 per year. Reno had 96,411 households in 2017, with a population of 239,732.

The city with the highest median resident income in the state was Lamoille. Lamoille's median income was $75,986 per year after adjusting for inflation – $47,779 more than Reno. It had 93 households in 2017 and a population of 228.

Beaverdam had the lowest annual resident income among cities in Nevada, with a median income of only $2,499 per year. That was $25,708 less than the median income in Reno at the time. Beaverdam had 5 households in 2017 and a population of 27.
